Facilities and Field Trips


     Participants of the 2009 course will visit a practicing commercial shrimp farm, processing plant and commercial marine finfish farm. Other field trips will be taken to the Texas AgriLife Research Station and shrimp mariculture facility in Corpus Christi, where the zero water exchange and bait shrimp production R&D takes place, and to the TPWD/CCA Marine Development Center in Flour Bluff, where a variety of marine finfish are grown for stock enhancement purposes for the State of Texas.
